SEND Finance & Funding

All schools receive funding from the Local Authority at the beginning of each financial year, which is used to support students who have special educational needs. At Bishop Barrington Academy we use our professional judgement to ensure that the funding is distributed to have the greatest impact on our SEND students.

If a child has complex special educational needs and their provision exceeds £6,000, a costed provision map will be developed and additional funding from the Local Authority will be applied for to meet the agreed outcomes.
