Enrichment

We are excited to announce a new Enrichment programme which aims to develop an enriched curriculum where all students are shown the value and benefit of attending activities and clubs outside of the usual school day. Students can demonstrate autonomy and attend as many enrichment clubs as possible.  We feel this massively benefits all our students personal development and can spark an interest in new and exciting areas. 

The timetable spans across all 5 days where students have access to a wide ranging number of clubs so there really is something for everyone. Students simply turn up to the activity and enjoy the benefits of a wider curriculum. The timetable is updated every term to ensure that there is a wide variety of clubs to attend.

STEM

We believe science, technology, engineering and mathematics education (STEM) is fundamental to the wellbeing of the world and in particular here at Bishop Barrington Academy. We need STEM skills and knowledge to solve problems facing us all, so high quality STEM education benefits both our students and the local and national society. We know that many young people face barriers to accessing this education.  We want to make sure all students have access to STEM clubs and get to meet local and national employers.

We want to offer a wide range of STEM activities, accessible by all of our students to ensure they have just the same (if not more) opportunities than others.  Our all new STEM SENTR (opening 2027) aims to offer high quality STEM activities to all of our students and bring in the best minds across the area to inspire and lead our students.
