What parents need to know about Sendit

The number of people signing up to Sendit may have decreased slightly in recent months, but – with around nine million users worldwide – it currently remains in the top 20 downloads of the App Store’s ‘social networking’ category. That adds up to a lot of young people communicating anonymously online, potentially with older users who they don’t know.

Regrettably, that does suggest one immediately obvious (and serious) risk on Sendit – that of grooming. The idea of teens having their pics rated, or participating in games of ‘truth or dare’ with strangers is one which will understandably concern most parents.
