Assessments
At Bishop Barrington Academy we understand the importance of assessing student knowledge to gain a better understanding of their retained knowledge, we then use this information to support teaching in lessons.
Assessment weeks/mock exams are carried out in the exam hall in exam conditions to help prepare students for their GCSE examinations.
Additional assessments will be carried out on a regular basis in classrooms during lesson time.
To support your child’s revision:
- Encourage your child to make a revision timetable.
- Make sure your child has a distraction free study space with all of their study equipment to hand.
- Make sure they have a good night’s rest.
- Make sure they eat well and have lots of healthy snacks, and juice/water.
- Instil a growth mindset.
