Policy & Procedures

It is everyone’s responsibility to keep children safe in education. As a visitor to our school, you become part of that
commitment. The following information is designed to inform you of how you can help us with this.

How you can help us to keep children safe:

• Ensure you have reported to Reception and signed in
• Show us your DBS certificate and/ or any formal identification and photo ID
• Always display your visitor badge clearly
• If advised to, please ensure you remain with your accompanying member of staff at all times
• Remain in the area of school we are aware you are visiting
• Return your visitor badge to Reception and sign out

If you have concerns about a child:

Please ask to speak to a member of the Safeguarding Team. If you are not able to do this, please ask to speak to the Headteacher or any of the key contacts (details above).

If you have concerns about an adult in school:

Please ask to speak to the Headteacher or the Designated Safeguarding Lead. If your concern is in relation to the Headteacher or DSL, please inform our Chair of Governors or Durham LADO (contact details above).
